A friend of mine from middle school emialed me and so I sent her a emailed her back a update on my life.... I was going to update all of you on my life if you don't talk to me on that regular of a basis So I am posting what I sent to her because it has the most detail and I don't feel like retyping everything... Well, Get Ready.... My family is living back in NE currently. Okay, Last November my mom moved to Missouri and in January I moved down there too. We had a great life down there. I was in school at Longview Community College working on an Education degree. My mom was happily in a relationship with Ike and life was looking normal. Apparantly too normal. On May 9th our family experienced a tragedy. Ike was at work, he had a massive unexpected heart attack and died at work. Needless to say our world was turned upside down (once again). After the funeral we sat down as a family and assesed our options. We made a family decision to go back to Omaha to be around family and friends for the time being, After awhile we decided that Omaha was where we needed to be. My mom got her job back at Bergan and since it was within 6 months of her leaving she didn't lose any sinority. We lived with my aunt Kelly for 3 months before we got our own place. We moved to a house on 163rd and Pacific (it's only a couple of blocks away Kelly). My grandma lives with us in the finished basement area of our house. We have 2 dogs, both yellow labs. Lucky is 2 1/2 (Daniel's dog) and Lexington is almost 1 (Ike's dog that we inherited). Sylvester is still around (he will be 16 in 2 weeks). My mom is doing better now. As expected the first couple of months were hell on earth for her. As days go by it gets a little easier for her. She keeps busy by working and taking care of Kelly's little girl Savannah. My brother Daniel is getting so big. He turned 11 last September. He is in 6th grade at Millard North Middle School. He loves to play football and play outside with the dogs. I am working full time as a nanny for two diffrent families. I work Monday - Wednesday and Thursday afternoon with the Gilberts (31 hours). They have 3 beautiful girls (Elle - 4 1/2, Emily will be 3 in a week, and Edison is 1 1/2). In September I got a call from a family that I worked for before moving to MO. They have a son Jackson who is 16 moinths old. He is in daycare but in September they got a call from a girl asking if they would be interested in adopting her baby. The daycare Jack goes to didn't have any openings so they asked me if I would be Sydney's nanny until she got a spot in daycare sometime in the spring. So I watch her Thursday - Sunday (37 hours). I just take her to the GIlbert's with me on Thursday afternoons. So that mean I work everyday of the week. My full day off is Thanksgiving! I can't wait. In addition to working like a maniac. I am in school at Metro full time. I am trying to get finshed up and ready to transfer to UNO but that doesn't look like it'll happen until I'm a hundred. I want to transfer to UNO and pursue a Middle Grades Education (4-9) degree. For my degree I have to pick two subject endorsements. Right now I am almost sure those areas will be Math and Social Studies. I really like Math. ( I'm such a nerd). In my free time (with is slim to none) I try to make it to my church's college group which this year has been amazing so far. There it is, my life in a few paragraphs! |
